Prosecutors and legal services employess face unique occupational stressors. At any moment in time, they are faced with managing a broad range of competing responsibilities, which makes this occupation one of the most stressful of all public service occupations.
It has become increasingly understood that the occupational demands take a toll on the mental health of those tasked with this important job. The BOS Legal program has been developed to help the support the unique mental health needs of those working in legal services.
BOS is about empowering those in legal professions to be in charge of the effects of operational stress, versus the effects of operational stress being in charge of them.

Introduction to Legal Services
I was motivated several years ago to develop the Before Operational Stress (BOS) program out of a desire to provide public safety personnel with an intervention that could support greater psychological protection relative to their occupational roles. I am steadfast in my commitment to finding proactive ways to support public safety personnel and will continue to disseminate and evaluate BOS to ensure its effectiveness and utility for the members it serves.
